Vallerga Fire Investigations
Chris Vallerga is a fire investigator licensed in Montana and California. He began his fire service career in 1973 with the California Division of Forestry, (now Cal Fire). He has over 2500 hours of documented training, which included course work from the National Fire Academy, the Cal Fire Academy and the California State Fire Marshal’s Office. He holds an Associate of Science Degree in Fire Science, and another Associate of Science Degree in Law Enforcement, from the Napa Valley College.
Mr. Vallerga is a Certified Fire Investigator. He is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators and the International Association of Wildland Fire. He has investigated over 2000 fires and is court qualified as an Expert Witness in Federal Court and Superior Courts of Lake, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, Sonoma and Yolo Counties, California.
Mr. Vallerga is a Licensed Private Investigator in Montana (PSP-PI-32574) and California (PI25719). He is fully insured and bonded. He specializes in wildland fire investigations and fuels reduction. He is a certified timber faller. He conducts pile and broadcast burns routinely. He reviews fuel reduction plans for prescription burns.
Mr. Vallerga has served a a lead investigator with the Lake County Arson Task Force. He was also an assigned investigator with the Cal Fire Arson Investigation Unit (AIU).

As a Court Qualified Expert Witness, Mr. Vallerga is capable of assisting clients with litigation and defense support. He is exceptionally well versed in the California Public Resources Code and California Public Utilities Commission rules.
